The low beams seemed to me and my wife to be angled too low. The service department informed me of upcoming 50,000 mile services. The car also had all the liquids checked and added to as necessary. The service department's agent who handled my car ordered splash guards for the front wheels and will inform me when they come in. Finally, the car was cleaned before being returned to me. "I brought in my 2007 GMC Sierra because the driverside headlight was out and it was a dark rainy day. I needed the light. I got there while the technicians were at lunch so I would have to wait. Well one of the guys came back early and got the new lamp in so fast I had only enough time to read one chapter in my book! Not only that, the service rep only charged me for a fraction of the service hour required for normal installation. I know what a bear it is on the drivers side to change that bulb and he did it in no time at all. I always take my truck to Bob King because of the great sevice and great people there. All repairs are explained ahead and prices discussed. I have never had a sevice problem with them. Because of this when I need to trade, I will only deal with Bob King! Thanks for being there! "My 2012 GMC Sierra had a transmission issue I dropped my truck off at the dealership service area. I met the service manager and the person who is going to be handling my service issue. John was amazing very informative very helpful. they got me in and out within about 15 minutes with a loaner car. John then called me later that day to explain that the issue may take about two days. John then called me the next day to let me know that the transmission had been fixed and my truck was ready. I showed up at the dealership they had washed my truck. John explained to me what the issue was and assured me that the issue has been corrected and would not be an issue in the future. Having an issue with the vehicle is never easy. But I know for a fact that it could not have been handled in a more professional manner than it was handled at Bob King. I will continue to refer friends and family to Bob King because of the great experience that I have had there. I would absolutely Rate this experience a 10 out of 10. Thank you so much Jimi"

"I came in for an oil change and tire rotation and was waiting for the service department to open. Upon them opening I was usher in and my information taken and told them I would be waiting. In about an hour and fifteen minutes my service rep came and said they were done with the service, but by the mileage it was recommended that I get a fuel injection cleaning service. While we were talking the service manerger came up and looks the paperwork. He asked me how my truck was doing and if wheels were doing good from prior services. He said since I had been in and out several times with my rim problem previously he was going to take care of the charge of my oil and rotation service. This was a big surprise and much appreciated one too. I was highly satisfied with everyone there and the quality of people that are there. It is a number one service center!!! And highly recommended."

Soon as I got it after the DVD player was put in on way home the brakes started making terrble noise had to turn around and return to Srevice ctr. Then 4 days later picked up got home, now this is over 100 miles round trip to service ctr. and stopped for lunch in hometown and steering wheel started making terrible noise. Called and they sent me a car and it went back. Picked up today. Also had the department check the barakes as I had encountered a "pulsing" in the brake pedal during long, slow braking. The service personnel found discoloration and hot spots on the brakes. They cleared the hot spots and dicoloration and test drove the car. It came back as OK. I am totally satisfied with all the work and interaction with the entire service department personnel."

"I live an hour away from Bob King GMC so I decided to take my 2008 Acadia to the local GM dealer (Marine Chevrolet in Jacksonville) but that was a huge mistake. The local dealer told me that my powertrain warranty would not cover a deffective water pump and that I would have to pay for it myself. Instead of taking their word for it, I decided to give Bob King GMC a call just to be sure they weren't trying to pull one over on me. Well, the Bob King service department was more than helpful and turns out it was covered under my certified used powertrain warranty. They even put me in a top notch loaner vehicle for the day while they performed the maintenace. The local dealer almose laughed when I asked them for a loaner. Bottom line, I will never make the same mistake again. I will always make the hour drive to Wilmington in order to work with the professionals at Bob King GMC"

We drove back to Durham with our daughter and around 7:40 am the next morning we received a call from the service department about the problem with our car. "Totaled my car Wed. I thought, didn't find out until Tues. after Labor Day when I called the Insurance Co. My parents had totaled their car 1 month prior, Is that crazy or what? They went to Fayetteville, NC looking a car, because we are a military town they felt like they were not given a good deal or even treated right! My sister had bought a GMC. truck there about 3 years ago and did nothing but brag on them, so she took them to Wilmington. A Verano is what they came home with. I took it for a drive and loved it. My parents had Matts cell no. so I called, told him what I wanted and this is Thurs. and I needed it by Sat, because we were going on vacation starting Mon. He handled everything, had the car waiting on us when we arrived Sat after lunch. And off we drove a couple of hours later!!! Is that awsome or what?"

met Joel Wartel, the nicest person I have ever met at any dealership (and we have been purchasing cars for 30+ years). Joel was patient and professional. Talked about pricing, trade in and financing. We have friends that have a Denali and we were familiar with the vehicle. What made us purchase the vehicle from Bob King was Joel. I never felt as though I was being "sold" or taken advantage of. I felt as though he educated us, gave us solid information and treated us like guests. This was by far the best car purchase "experience" that I have ever had. My only regret during the entire process is that I did not visit Bob King years ago. If I had, Joel would be the person I would have turned to for all my car purchases We have shared our wonderful experience with all of our friends. Our friends that own the Denali agreed that people at Bob King treat people wonderful. Another couple drove down the next week and purchased a Buick. Also, Joel did introduce me to another salesman during one of my visits. I don't recall his name but he looked at my trade in and talked to me about current car and the vehicle I was looking to purchase. The reason I bring this up is because days later when we purchased the car, he walked by and congratulated on our purchase using my name!! He remembered my name days later after a 10 minute conversation. That was impressive."

I had narrowed down my search to 3 types...
 
"I had narrowed down my search to 3 types of trucks. When I went on line I found I could get dealers to send details and prices on the trucks I was concidering. I received replys from several but Bob King Automart was the only one to give a price. I received replys from others wanting me to come in but I replied for a quote to make it worth my while to drive the distence and not price haggle. I received another quote from Bob King stating that the rebate had gone up another $2000 and that would come off the previous quote. I drove down to Bob King and looked over the lot and found one just like the one I received the quote on but it had leather interion and some more extras. Joel Wartel came out and I found out that he was the one I had been communicating with online. He gave me the keys to the truck and told me to take my time and check it out. I found a few problems with it but I really liked it. When I returned he let me drive the truck I received the quote on but I was thinking I liked the leather better. I replyed back to him later my conserns with the truck I drove and he made sure it was checked out and problems corrected. I might have been able to haggle the price down more or waited for a better deal but I just felt I should just go with it. Also, I was able to finance it threw the dealer cheeper than my bank of 42 years would finance it for. So far I am real pleased with it."

Received an oil change and inspection in about an hour, while we got a ride from Bill on the shuttle to shop instead of waiting for that time. I was able to get a wedding present purchased that otherwise would have required either more time or another trip into Wilmington. "Chris Foster was our sales rep, and he was one of the least pushy of all of the car salesmen that we encountered (and I went to almost every dealer in town: we looked at Range Rovers, BMWs, Toyota, etc.). We actually had one of the salesmen from a different dealer Google my wife's name and call her at work after she declined to give him her contact information. Chris asked us what we were looking for, and he showed us a Denali that suited our needs. We were not really strongly considering a GMC SUV at first, but ended up loving the inside of the Acadia Denali (had all the "bells and whistles" of a luxury car with a lot more room). Overall excellent experience with Bob King; we're thinking about trading in our sedan for a C-class Mercedes next year. We definitely plan to buy from Bob King."

We use the truck for camping - the family is now much smaller and the van was very old (14 years). So we decided to sell the van but that gave us limited seating. We were shopping for something bigger than my precious 2005 Envoy Denali. We had a wonderful experience considering the Acadia Denali and the Yukon Denali. Ed Meshaw was very patient as we trekked from showroom to vehicle to vehicle to showroom and then all over again several times. He answered questions and provided information. Robert Campbell followed up with locating the perfect Acadia for us and that's what we got! It was a great experience."
